What gets checked, and where
Professional licence
The cédula profesional is the federal licence to practise dentistry in Mexico at all. The number is confirmed against the SEP registry, and both it and the date of the check are published.
Specialty board
Where a dentist claims a specialty, the council that governs it is checked for certification, and the certificate number is published with its validity dates. Dental specialties certify through their own councils rather than through CONACEM.
Clinic licence
A dentist can be fully licensed while working somewhere that is not. The clinic carries its own sanitary licence, so that is recorded separately.

What it costs

Dental implants
A titanium post placed in the jaw to carry a single replacement tooth, with a crown fitted on top once the post has integrated.
All-on-4 implants
A full arch of teeth carried on four implants, used when most or all of the teeth in an arch are gone.
All-on-6 implants
A full arch carried on six implants, giving more support than All-on-4 where bone volume allows it.
Full mouth restoration
A combined plan that rebuilds both arches using implants, crowns and bridges in whatever mix the case needs.
Dental crowns
A cap fitted over a damaged tooth to restore its shape and protect what is left of it.
Porcelain veneers
Thin porcelain shells bonded to the front of the teeth to change their colour, shape or alignment.
Root canal treatment
Removal of infected pulp from inside a tooth, then sealing the canal so the tooth can be kept.
Bone graft
Added bone material that rebuilds jaw volume so an implant has something solid to anchor into.
Sinus lift
Raising the sinus floor and adding bone beneath it so upper back implants have enough height to anchor.
Questions patients actually ask
Are dentists in Mexico actually licensed?
A dentist practising legally in Mexico holds a cédula profesional, the federal licence issued through the Secretaría de Educación Pública. It is a matter of public record, searchable by anyone at the Registro Nacional de Profesionistas. What varies is whether a directory bothers to check it. Every dentist listed here has that number published alongside the date it was confirmed, so you can repeat the check yourself.
How is this different from the big Mexican directories?
The large Mexican sites are built for Mexican patients using Mexican insurance. Their listing pages are organised by carriers like AXA, GNP and Metlife México, which are no use to you if you are paying cash from the United States. They also have no English version at all. This site is organised the way a US patient actually decides: by procedure, by what it costs in dollars, and by how you get across the border and back.
Does paying for a listing get a dentist a verification badge?
No. Dentists pay to be listed and to be promoted, and that is disclosed on every page. A licence is either confirmed against the public registry or it is not, and the listing says which. Payment can move a dentist within a verification level, never across one.
What if a dentist here loses their certification?
Specialty certifications in Mexico carry a validity window, typically five years. This site stores the expiry date and shows a certification as lapsed once that date passes, with the expiry date visible. A badge that quietly outlives the certificate behind it would make this site worse than useless.
